Datenschutzhinweise

1. Verantwortlicher

Verantwortlich für die in diesen Hinweisen beschriebene Datenverarbeitung ist Tobias Marchini, Am Ziehgraben 11, 60488 Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland. E-Mail: info@voxeldynamics.io; weiterer Kontakt: Tel. +49 162 2686618.

3. Was Ihr Netzwerk verlässt – vollständige Übersicht

Privacy notice

1. Controller

The controller for the data processing described in this notice is Tobias Marchini, Am Ziehgraben 11, 60488 Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland. E-mail: info@voxeldynamics.io; further contact: Tel. +49 162 2686618.

2. Principle: your business data stays with you

Project, pipe, customer, price and stock data, your files (e.g. .tfp) and your settings never leave your network towards the Provider. The Provider does not receive these data and does not access them unless this has been expressly agreed. The only exception is what you yourself expressly send along – for example visible content on a screenshot that you attach to a report.

The data of your customers and employees that you record in Bendu is stored on your devices. You are responsible for it under data-protection law; the Provider does not process it.

This notice describes the data processing by the Provider. It is no assurance that the Software itself is GDPR-compliant: as a development and test version it is not represented as GDPR-compliant (see the Terms). For testing use synthetic data as long as there is no lawful basis and no appropriate safeguards.

3. What leaves your network – complete overview

The table below lists every connection the app makes to the Provider's servers or to third parties. Apart from these connections the app sends nothing over the internet. In Settings → About → "Data sent" you can see when each of these connections took place on your device (time, purpose, target, result – without contents).

Licence check: at every start of the app and about daily while it runs.Your licence key (only if entered); technically also your IP address and the time. The Provider's licence server (hosted at Oracle, Frankfurt).Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (performing participation, licence management, abuse protection). The server stores, per key, the time of first use and of the last check. Server logs (including the IP address) are deleted after 7 days.No – prerequisite for participation.
Update check automatically at most once a week and on request; an update that is found is downloaded automatically, installing only happens after your click.Only the request for the latest version and your IP address – no licence, project or personal data. The Provider's licence server, which obtains the files from GitHub as an intermediary. GitHub only sees the server, not you.Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Server logs: 7 days.No (update function); installing remains your decision.
First download of the installer via the download page (download.voxeldynamics.io).Your licence key, the system you chose and your IP address.Licence server (checking the key). Your browser downloads the file directly from GitHub (GitHub Inc./Microsoft, USA); GitHub thereby receives your IP address. Basis for the transfer to the USA: the adequacy decision of the European Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which GitHub is certified; alternatively standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Stored: key, system, version and time of the download (no IP address). Server logs: 7 days.Yes – only if you download the installer there.
Beta report (bug/idea): only when you choose "Send" in the app, and only after you tick the consent box.Your text, type of report, app version, current page, operating system, install ID, user name, last error message that occurred, version of the Terms and – can be unticked – a screenshot. Before sending, the app shows you exactly what will be sent. A screenshot shows whatever is visible in the window – untick it if confidential data is on screen. The Provider's licence server. A ticket is additionally created at GitHub (USA); it contains your text, the type of report, app version, page, operating system and the last error message – without user name, install ID and screenshot. Basis for the transfer to the USA: the adequacy decision of the European Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which GitHub is certified; alternatively standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent, revocable at any time – deletion on request). Retention: 6 months on the Provider's server. Beyond your text, the ticket at GitHub contains no identifier of you; it stays there while the problem or request is being tracked – on request we delete it immediately.Yes – sending is voluntary.
Acceptance of the Terms (retried automatically later if there is no connection).Install ID, version of the Terms, time of acceptance, app version, language and – if present – your licence key.The Provider's licence server; the server additionally records the time of receipt (no IP address).Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (proof that the Terms were accepted). Retention: 10 years. No – part of accepting.
"Contact support" / "New e-mail".The app only opens your e-mail program with a draft. What you send is your decision.Your e-mail provider. No processing by the Provider through the app.Yes.
Syncing between your paired devices (office/workshop).Business data such as jobs, stock and customers – only between your devices.Only your own devices, never the Provider. If you use a VPN (e.g. Tailscale) the traffic runs through that VPN; its terms apply. You are responsible.Yes – only if you pair devices.

4. Download page

The download page sets no cookies, loads no external resources (no font services, no analytics) and stores no IP addresses in the application. The web server logs accesses as technically necessary (IP address, time, requested address) for 7 days.

5. What is stored locally on your device

The app stores on your device your business data, settings, a random install ID, your user name, the licence key, the acceptance record and the log of data sent. No cookies are set for tracking or analytics purposes and no usage statistics are collected. Access to this locally stored information is technically necessary to run the app (section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

6. Recipients and processors

Hosting of the licence server: Oracle (Frankfurt), as processor under Art. 28 GDPR. GitHub (USA) receives the data named above for downloads and reports.
